Studying this i am convicted of how poor an example i am of the purity, power and passion of Christ, and of His early church, and must seek the faithful Lord daily for full sanctification and fulness of power. Please pray for me, and yourself and the church at large.

How are the mighty fallen, and the weapons of war perished!” (2Sam. 1:27).

Yea, they turned back and tempted God, and limited the Holy One of Israel" (Ps. 78:41).

...I have somewhat against thee, because thou hast left thy first love. Remember therefore from whence thou art fallen, and repent, and do the first works; or else I will come unto thee quickly, and will remove thy candlestick out of his place, except thou repent” (Rev. 3:4, 5)

I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot.

So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth. Because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked: I counsel thee to buy of me gold tried in the fire, that thou mayest be rich; and white raiment, that thou mayest be clothed, and that the shame of thy nakedness do not appear; and anoint thine eyes with eyesalve, that thou mayest see. “As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent” (Rev. 3:15 -19).

But I will come to you shortly, if the Lord will, and will know, not the speech of them which are puffed up, but the power. For the kingdom of God is not in word, but in power. What will ye? shall I come unto you with a rod, or in love, and in the spirit of meekness?” (1 Cor. 4:19-21).

"Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God. Do ye think that the scripture saith in vain, The spirit that dwelleth in us lusteth to envy? But he giveth more grace. Wherefore he saith, God resisteth the proud, but giveth grace unto the humble. Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and purify your hearts, ye double minded. Be afflicted, and mourn, and weep: let your laughter be turned to mourning, and your joy to heaviness. Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and he shall lift you up” (Ja. 4:4-10).

Let us search and try our ways, and turn again to the LORD” (Lam. 3:40).

Sow to yourselves in righteousness, reap in mercy; break up your fallow ground: for it is time to seek the LORD, till he come and rain righteousness upon you” (Rev. 2:5, 6; Lam. 3:40; Hos. 10:12)

Having therefore these promises, dearly beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God" (2Cor. 7:1).

We then, as workers together with Him, beseech you also that ye receive not the grace of God in vain” (2 Cor 6:1 KJV)

"O give thanks unto the Lord for He is good; for His mercy for ever” (Ps. 107:1)!
